Week 11

https://voicethread.com/share/10033803/ I have used Voice thread before and I’m glad that I read the article about voice thread shared by Dr. Hsu.  It explained new ways voice thread can be implemented to help ELL students, visual students, and linguistic students. In today’s world of education, teachers are focusing on each student as an individual to help them learn. Voice thread is an online application where teachers and students can post presentations, their work or media. Everyone can collaborate and comment on each other’s work. You can choose to type a message or leave a voice message and include text. This makes it easy for students that have difficulty writing. Voice thread is an engaging tool that can really benefit teachers and students.

Week 6 assignment 2-1

Thanks for sharing these two great articles. Technology has really became a major part in society and everyday living. With the rapid pace and grow of ICTs it is crucial that teachers integrate new literacies in their classroom. Teachers are facing a challenge when bringing in new technology to their classrooms. Some of the challenges are that teachers aren’t so familiar with the use of ICTs or they are ineffectively using it. Schools should set up workshops for teachers and give them the correct tools to help them effectively integrate new literacies. The benefits of doing this are endless. The second article gave some examples of how teachers can use different social  networking and media platforms to integrate technology.
